2 Cor 5:1-8

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. (to be at home with the Lord.)

8 ఇట్లు ధైర్యముగలిగి యీ దేహమును విడిచి పెట్టి ప్రభువునొద్ద నివసించుటకు ఇష్టపడుచున్నాము.

And of course it is sad when we lose our loved ones.

We miss them.

Birth is not in our hands, neither is death.

It is not something we decide, but our creator God decided.

 

As Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says there is time for everything.

1 To everything there is a season, - A time for every purpose under heaven:

ప్రతిదానికి సమయము కలదు. ఆకాశము క్రింద ప్రతి ప్రయత్నమునకు సమయము కలదు.

2 A time to be born, - And a time to die;

పుట్టుటకు, చచ్చుటకు;

A time to plant, - And a time to pluck what is planted;

నాటుటకు నాటబడినదాని పెరికివేయుటకు,

 

Hence, I believe everything is predestined.

Eph 1:5 …తన చిత్తప్రకారమైన దయాసంకల్పముచొప్పున… ఆయన .... మనలను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

Rom 8:29… ఆయన సంకల్పముచొప్పున… ముందుగా నిర్ణయించెను.

Rom 8:30… 30 మరియు ఎవరిని ముందుగా నిర్ణయించెనో వారిని పిలిచెను;

 

On our birthdays, every candle we blow, tells us we are travelling towards our death.

Life is a journey towards our grave.

From cradle to grave.

Cradle – where we see life and hope.

Grave – where we see death and no hope.

Once dead, is dead.

So our loved ones, grief because there is no hope.

 

Second point:

But if death and grave is the last and eternal place where mankind ends, then what is the point of God creating us.

What is the point of having faith in God?

So do we believe God only for this life in our human body?

 

Paul says we are being we ae being uninformed.

1 Cor 15:34…for some do not have the knowledge of God…దేవునిగూర్చిన జ్ఞానము కొందరికి లేదు.

 

But Paul is trying to tell us something in the letter’s

1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.

13 సహోదరులారా, నిరీక్షణలేని యితరులవలె మీరు దుఃఖపడకుండు నిమిత్తము, నిద్రించుచున్నవారిని గూర్చి మీకు తెలియకుండుట మాకిష్టములేదు.

 

What is that we are being uninformed?

14 యేసు మృతి పొంది తిరిగి లేచెనని మనము నమ్మినయెడల,

అదే ప్రకారము యేసునందు నిద్రించినవారిని దేవుడాయనతోకూడ వెంటబెట్టుకొని వచ్చును.

 

15 మేము ప్రభువుమాటనుబట్టి మీతో చెప్పునదేమనగా, ప్రభువు రాకడవరకు సజీవులమై నిలిచియుండు మనము నిద్రించినవారికంటె ముందుగా ఆయన సన్నిధి చేరము.

 

16 ఆర్భాటముతోను, ప్రధానదూత శబ్దముతోను, దేవుని బూరతోను పరలోకమునుండి ప్రభువు దిగివచ్చును; క్రీస్తునందుండి మృతులైనవారు మొదట లేతురు.

 

17 ఆ మీదట సజీవులమై నిలిచి యుండు మనము వారితోకూడ ఏకముగా ప్రభువును ఎదుర్కొనుటకు ఆకాశమండలమునకు మేఘములమీద కొనిపోబడుదుము.

 

కాగా మనము సదాకాలము ప్రభు వుతోకూడ ఉందుము.

we shall always be with the Lord.

యేసునందు నిద్రించినవారిని / క్రీస్తునందుండి మృతులైనవారు

సజీవులమై నిలిచి యుండు మనము

ఏకముగా  / together

The living and the ones who slept, all are going to get together and our destination is same.

మనము సదాకాలము ప్రభు వుతోకూడ ఉందుము.

we shall always be with the Lord.

 

14 యేసు మృతి పొంది తిరిగి లేచెనని మనము నమ్మినయెడల,

Dan 12:2

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,

Some to everlasting life,

Some to shame and everlasting [a]contempt.

మరియు సమాధులలో నిద్రించు అనేకులు మేలుకొనెదరు;

కొందరు నిత్యజీవము అనుభ వించుటకును,

కొందరు నిందపాలగుటకును నిత్యముగా హేయులగుటకును మేలుకొందురు.

Gen 47:7-10. 7 Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and set him before Pharaoh; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

7 మరియు యోసేపు తన తండ్రియైన యాకోబును లోపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చి ఫరో సమక్షమందు అతని నుంచగా యాకోబు ఫరోను దీవించెను.

8 Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How old are you?”

8 ఫరో– నీవు జీవించిన సంవత్సరములెన్ని అని యాకోబు నడిగినందుకు

9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred and thirty years;

9 యాకోబు–నేను యాత్రచేసిన సంవత్సరములు నూట ముప్పది,

few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”

… అవి నా పితరులు యాత్రచేసిన దినములలో వారు జీవించిన సంవత్సరములన్ని కాలేదని ఫరోతో చెప్పి

10 So Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.

10 ఫరోను దీవించి ఫరోయెదుటనుండి వెళ్లిపోయెను.

1 Peter 1:1 యేసుక్రీస్తు అపొస్తలుడైన పేతురు, తండ్రియైన దేవుని భవిష్యద్ జ్ఞానమునుబట్టి, 2ఆత్మవలని పరిశుద్ధత పొందినవారై విధేయులగుటకును, యేసుక్రీస్తు రక్తమువలన ప్రోక్షింపబడుటకును ఏర్పరచబడినవారికి, అనగా పొంతు, గలతీయ, కప్పదొకియ, ఆసియ, బితునియ అను దేశములయందు చెదరిన వారిలో చేరిన యాత్రికులకు శుభమని చెప్పి వ్రాయునది. మీకు కృపయు సమాధానమును విస్తరిల్లునుగాక.

"Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"

- 1 Peter 2:11

11 ప్రియులారా, మీరు పరదేశులును యాత్రికులునై యున్నారు గనుక ఆత్మకు విరోధముగా పోరాడు శరీరాశ లను విసర్జించి,

We are not meant to settle here on earth.

Like the Israelites were not meant to be settled in Egypt.

Like they had a Promised land, we too have a promised land

Heb 11

8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;

8 అబ్రాహాము పిలువబడినప్పుడు విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి ఆ పిలుపునకు లోబడి, తాను స్వాస్థ్యముగా పొందనైయున్న ప్రదేశమునకు బయలువెళ్లెను. మరియు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లవలెనో అది ఎరుగక బయలువెళ్లెను. 9 విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి అతడును, అతనితో ఆ వాగ్దానమునకు సమానవారసులైన ఇస్సాకు యాకోబు అనువారును, గుడారములలో నివసించుచు, అన్యుల దేశములో ఉన్నట్టుగా వాగ్దత్తదేశములో పరవాసులైరి.

 

13...confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

13...తాము భూమి మీద పరదేశులమును యాత్రికులమునై యున్నామని ఒప్పుకొని...

 

10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

10 ఏలయనగా దేవుడు దేనికి శిల్పియు నిర్మాణకుడునై యున్నాడో, పునాదులుగల ఆ పట్టణముకొరకు అబ్రా హాము ఎదురుచూచుచుండెను.

 

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off [e]were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

13 వీరందరు ఆ వాగ్దానముల ఫలము అనుభవింపక పోయినను, దూరమునుండి చూచి వందనముచేసి, తాము భూమి మీద పరదేశులమును యాత్రికులమునై యున్నామని ఒప్పుకొని, విశ్వాసముగలవారై మృతినొందిరి.

 

16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

16 అయితే వారు మరి శ్రేప్ఠమైన దేశమును, అనగా పరలోకసంబంధమైన దేశమును కోరుచున్నారు. అందుచేత తాను వారి దేవుడనని అనిపించుకొనుటకు దేవుడు వారినిగూర్చి సిగ్గుపడడు; ఏలయనగా ఆయన వారికొరకు ఒక పట్టణము సిద్ధపరచియున్నాడు.

2 Cor 5:1-8

1 For we know that if our earthly [a]house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

1 భూమిమీద మన గుడారమైన యీ నివాసము శిథిలమైపోయినను, చేతిపనికాక దేవునిచేత కట్టబడినదియు నిత్యమైనదియునైన నివాసము పరలోకమందు మన కున్నదని యెరుగుదుము.

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

2 మనము దిగంబరులము కాక వస్త్రము ధరించుకొనినవారముగా కనబడుదుము. కాబట్టి పరలోకమునుండివచ్చు మన నివాసము దీనిపైని ధరించుకొన నపేక్షించుచు దీనిలో మూల్గుచున్నాము. 3-4 ఈ గుడారములోనున్న మనము భారము మోసికొని మూల్గు చున్నాము. ఇది తీసివేయవలెనని కాదు గాని మర్త్యమైనది జీవముచేత మ్రింగివేయబడునట్లు, ఆ నివాసమును దీనిపైని ధరించుకొన గోరుచున్నాము. 5 దీని నిమిత్తము మనలను సిద్ధపరచినవాడు దేవుడే; మరియు ఆయన తన ఆత్మ అను సంచకరువును మన కనుగ్రహించియున్నాడు.

6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

6 వెలి చూపువలన కాక విశ్వాసమువలననే నడుచుకొనుచున్నాము 7 గనుక ఈ దేహములో నివసించు చున్నంతకాలము ప్రభువునకు దూరముగా ఉన్నామని యెరిగి యుండియు, ఎల్లప్పుడును ధైర్యముగలవారమై యున్నాము. 8 ఇట్లు ధైర్యముగలిగి యీ దేహమును విడిచి పెట్టి ప్రభువునొద్ద నివసించుటకు ఇష్టపడుచున్నాము.

We all will live in one place.

Rev 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

ఆయన వారి కన్నుల ప్రతి బాష్పబిందువును తుడిచివేయును, మరణము ఇక ఉండదు, దుఃఖమైనను ఏడ్పైనను వేదన యైనను ఇక ఉండదు, మొదటి సంగతులు గతించి పోయెనని సింహాసనములోనుండి వచ్చిన గొప్ప స్వరము చెప్పుట వింటిని.

In her last days, even when her health condition bad, she never left the Bible.

She kept on reading the Bible.

The Bible was always with her.

In every aspect she stands as model for all of us.

As Isiah says in 57:2…Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

వారు (నీతిమంతులు) విశ్రాంతిలో ప్రవేశించుచున్నారు

తమకు సూటిగానున్న మార్గమున నడచువారు - తమ పడకలమీద పరుండి విశ్రమించుచున్నారు.
