Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have
believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
యేసు–నీవు నన్ను చూచి నమ్మితివి, చూడక నమ్మినవారు ధన్యులని అతనితో చెప్పెను.
Heb 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony
through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something
better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

John 20:19-31
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the
disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,
Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said
this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they
saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has
sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said,
“Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are
forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

సాయంకాలమున శిష్యులు యూదులకు భయపడి, తాము కూడియున్న యింటి తలుపులు మూసి కొనియుండగా యేసు వచ్చిమధ్యను నిలిచి–మీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుగాక అని వారితో చెప్పెను. 20 ఆయన ఆలాగు చెప్పి వారికి తన చేతులను ప్రక్కను చూపగా శిష్యులు ప్రభువును చూచి సంతోషించిరి.
21 అప్పుడు
యేసు–మరల మీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుగాక, తండ్రి నన్ను పంపినప్రకారము నేనును మిమ్మును పంపుచున్నానని వారితో చెప్పెను. 22 ఆయన ఈ మాట చెప్పి వారిమీద ఊది–పరిశుద్ధాత్మను పొందుడి. 23 మీరు ఎవరి పాపములు క్షమింతురో అవి వారికి క్షమింపబడును; ఎవరి పాపములు మీరు నిలిచియుండ నిత్తురో అవి నిలిచియుండునని వారితో చెప్పెను.
Jesus Appears to Thomas
24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve,
was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him,
“We have seen the Lord!”

వచ్చినప్పుడు, పండ్రెండుమందిలో ఒకడైన దిదుమ అనబడిన తోమా వారితో లేకపోయెను 25 గనుక తక్కిన శిష్యులు–మేము ప్రభువును చూచితిమని అతనితో చెప్పగా
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his
hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I
will not believe.”
అతడు–నేనాయన చేతులలో మేకుల గురుతును చూచి నా వ్రేలు ఆ మేకుల గురుతులో పెట్టి, నా చెయ్యి ఆయన ప్రక్కలో ఉంచితేనే గాని నమ్మనే నమ్మనని వారితో చెప్పెను.
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and
Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among
them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger
here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting
and believe.”

దినములైన తరువాత ఆయన శిష్యులు మరల లోపల ఉన్నప్పుడు తోమా వారితోకూడ ఉండెను. తలుపులు మూయబడియుండగా యేసు వచ్చిమధ్యను నిలిచి–మీకు సమాధానము కలుగును గాక అనెను. 27 తరువాత తోమాను చూచి–నీ వ్రేలు ఇటు చాచి నా చేతులు చూడుము; నీ చెయ్యి చాచి నా ప్రక్కలో ఉంచి, అవిశ్వాసివి కాక విశ్వాసివై యుండుమనెను.
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have
believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
29 యేసు–నీవు నన్ను చూచి నమ్మితివి, చూడక నమ్మినవారు ధన్యులని అతనితో చెప్పెను.
We are all aware of what happened in John 20 regarding
Thomas.
Because of this incident Thomas got a name “doubting
Thomas”.
Because he did not believe when Jesus said multiple times
that, I will be crucified and raise on the third day.
If Thomas believed, he would have been waiting in Galilee to
meet Jesus.
Jesus predicted 3 times that He would be crucified and on
the 3rd day would raise from the dead.
In fact he did not ask the disciples to come to the tomb to
see Him after he would raise, but Jesus mentioned his disciples to wait for him
in Galilee.
Matt 26:32 (Jesus and his disciples, after the Lord
Supper, on the way to the Mount of Olives: 30 When they had sung a hymn, they
went out to the Mount of Olives.) But after I have risen, I will go ahead
of you into Galilee.”

So after the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, where were the
disciples and women supposed to go?
Galilee.
Distance from Jerusalem to Galilee: 65km
Even Josephus says, “It was
the custom of the Galileans, when they came to the Holy City at the festivals,
to take their journeys through the country of the Samaritans.” The route from
Galilee to Jerusalem via Samaria remained the shortest and easiest route, a
journey that took only three days.
So the disciples and the women were supposed to pack
their stuff and start their journey to Galilee.
It exactly takes 3 days, which Jesus also promised would
raise in 3 days. Looks like an exact match
Now is the question: How many were there waiting for
Jesus at Galilee?
Where did people start searching for Jesus?
In a burial ground?
There were looking for a body.
What do you find in a burial ground or in a tomb?
Tombs with dead bodies, bones, and smell.
Matt 23:27 అయ్యో,

And what do people do there? Mourn and weep for their lost
ones.
You don’t find Jesus there.
What did the people find when they were looking for Jesus’s
body?
An empty tomb and a cloth which they clothed Jesus’s body.

It has already been prophesized that the
Messiah will rise from death.
2)
Death could not hold Jesus. Jesus
defeated death. If Jesus was still in the tomb, it means death won and sin won.
3)
Jesus predicted multiple times to his
disciples, that he would be crucified, buried and would raise on the 3rd
day.
Luke 24:5 In their fright the women bowed down with
their faces to the ground, but the men (two men stood by them in shining
garments) said to them, “Why do you look for the
living among the dead?

Remember how he told
you, while he was still with you in Galilee:

must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third

Mark 16:6-7. 6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said (to Mary
Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome). “You are looking for Jesus
the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell
his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

Mark 16:9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of
the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven
seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were
mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she
had seen him, they did not believe it.

12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of
them while they were walking in the country. 13 These returned and reported
it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.

And we consider only Thomas as
an un-believer.
Whereas I see- all the women who served Jesus and his
disciples as unbelievers too.
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating;
he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe
those who had seen him after he had risen.

the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.

12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over,
he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

Jn 20:8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb

Not only Thomas, but none of the women who served Jesus, or
the disciples believed in the resurrection.
They were frightened, mourning, weeping and locked themselves
in a room.
They all had to see Jesus’s hands and side, not only Thomas.
Jesus had to prove that he was not a ghost and had to eat
something.
But sad that we named only Thomas as doubting Thomas.
As per my view – its doubting Peter, doubting John,
doubting Andrew, doubting Matthew the Levi and so on.
That is why when Jesus said to Thomas - , “Because you have
seen me, you have believed…”, it applies to all the disciples and the people
over there. Not only to Thomas.
Matt 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they
worshiped him; but some doubted.
// That is why it is mentioned in Jn 20:8 …”He saw and believed” (Jn 20:8 Finally the other
disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and
believed.)

The main point I want to focus on today is 2nd
half of what Jesus said in Jn 20:29
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have
believed; blessed are those who have not seen and
yet have believed.”
అవిశ్వాసివి కాక విశ్వాసివై యుండుమనెను.
యేసు–నీవు నన్ను
· చూచి నమ్మితివి,
· చూడక నమ్మినవారు ధన్యులని అతనితో చెప్పెను. In other words (విని - నమ్మినవారు ధన్యులని అతనితో చెప్పెను)
I would like to stress on –
who have not seen and yet have believed.
Not seen and yet to believe.
Is it possible to believe in something not seen?
This the Bible definition of “Hope”.
This is the Bible definition of “Faith”.
While Paul was writing his letter to the Romans, he
mentions in Rom 8:24 ...
”hope that is seen is no hope at
all” / నిరీక్షింపబడునది
కనబడునప్పుడు, నిరీక్షణతో పనియుండదు
And he continuous saying – “Who hopes for what he can already
see?” తాను చూచుచున్న దానికొరకు ఎవడు నిరీక్షించును?
Romans 8:24 ఏలయనగా
మనము నిరీక్షణ కలిగిన
వారమై రక్షింపబడితిమి. నిరీక్షింపబడునది కనబడునప్పుడు, నిరీక్షణతో పనియుండదు;
తాను చూచుచున్న దానికొరకు ఎవడు నిరీక్షించును?
While Paul was explaining what hope is, the writer / author
of Hebrews tells us what Faith is.
The exact definition of Faith.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and
assurance about what we do not see.

There are two key verses:

Now this author who is trying to explain what faith / hope
is, does not have a theory only but a theory based on witnesses.
Hence he says - 2 For by it (Faith) the elders obtained a
good testimony.

There is one lady in the known to be “the mother of nations”
(జనములకు తల్లి)
Gen 17:16 నేనామెను

జేసెదను; నేనామెను ఆశీర్వదించెదను; ఆమె జనములకు తల్లియై
యుండును; జనముల రాజులు ఆమెవలన కలుగుదురని అబ్రాహాముతో చెప్పెను.
On the Google, if you search for “father of nation”,
you will see mahatma Gandhi. This name was given by men, because India got
freedom because of him.
But the lady who was called to be “the mother of nations”
was not given by men, but by God.
But if you notice, the Bible introduces her as barren
lady who has no children. Gen 11:30

Yes, you are right. Its none other than Sarah, Abraham’s
wife.
God changed her name from Sarai to Sarah (Princess). (as she
would be princess of a nation and kings would be coming from her)

In Gen 12 – we Abraham was 75 years
when God asked his to leave his relatives and his fathers house and to follow
God to a promised land.
No questions asked.

Why?
Sarah was 65 years old when she to
blindly followed her husband Abraham to the promised land.
This couple did not have children,
while Abraham was 75 and Sarah was 65. And as the Bible introduced Sarah was
barren who had no children.
But God promised them descendants
as the sand in seashore and stars in the sky. Gen 22:17 / 15:5.

Well! Sarah waited for 10 years.
Till 10 years she did not say a
word.

If it was me/you, we would have
waited for few days, may be a month or two, or at the max may be year or two.
If nothing happened, we would have
murmured /grumbled against God, as the Israelites did in the desert on the way
to the promised land Canaan.
(because of grumbling against God
and lack of faith on God who released them out of the slavery with a mighty hand,
none of them reached the promised land, except two. They all died in the
wilderness and desert)

After they travelled for 10 years, maybe
she thought since im old to have children, because my age is 75, there is no
chance I can have children.
In Gen 16:1-2… Sarai said to Abram,
“See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children.

and worldly situations)
(We need to notice; she never doubted
the end result but its just how)
So Sarah decided to have children through her Egyptian maid.
In those days this tradition was acceptable.
If wives were barren, they could have children through their
maids/servants. They were known as concubines.
Jacob > 13 children > wives / concubines.

Now Abraham also thought his servant Eleazer from Damascus
would be his heir. Gen 15:2-3
But God confirmed that its going to be your son.
And when God confirmed that Abraham would have a son, he
thought Ishmael who was born to a bond servant would be his heir. Gen 17:18
But in Gen 17:19, (God said “No”
to what Sarah and Abraham thought)
Gen 15:4 no to Eleazer
Gen 17:20 no to Ishmael
But in Gen 17:19, (God said “No”
to what Sarah and Abraham thought) Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall
bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My
covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after
him.

Do you know what is the age of Abraham, when God confirmed
that through Sarah you will have a son?
Turn your bibles to todays OT Scripture: Gen 17:1 and
15-16.
Abraham was 99 years old, and Sarah was 89 years old.
Is it humanly possible?
Sarah was 89 years old and barren.

her husband Abraham was 99 years old and as good as dead

Is it possible for this couple to
have children?
The answer is No, without any doubt.
Its
been 24 years since they left their fathers place and travelling since then
Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced
in years;

Hence Bible records that both laughed when God promised
descendants.
Abraham laughed:

Sarah laughed:

13 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah
laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according
to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

was Abraham’s and Sarah’s response to what the Lord said?
Mary and Joseph
We can find the same situation in Luke 1, about a virgin.
Till now we have spoken about a barren and old lady.
Now we are going to see a young lady who is a virgin.
AS you know, its none other than Jesus’s mother, Mary.
Luke 1:26-38
When Luke wanted to introduce Mary, before he mentioned
her name, he first informed she was a virgin.
Then he tells us the virgin name is Mary.
· దయాప్రాప్తురాలా నీకు శుభము;
· ప్రభువు నీకు తోడైయున్నాడని చెప్పెను.
· మరియా, భయపడకుము; దేవునివలన నీవు కృపపొందితివి.
After hearing all these good words, what would anyone think?
If its me, I would have thought, God is going to bless me
and going to give me something.
Money, Job, Buildings, land or property and good health with
peaceful life.
But to our surprise, Gabriel said, ”behold, you will
conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son”.

We have few important things to deal with.
Luke introduces Mary as a virgin and who is betrothed to a
man Joseph.

How can a virgin conceive?
Is this possible? !00% not possible.
Hence Mary asked Gabriel a very valid question.
How can this be, since im a virgin? Luke 1:34

Gabriel answered – Luke 1:35
దూత–పరిశుద్ధాత్మ నీమీదికి వచ్చును; సర్వోన్నతుని శక్తి నిన్ను కమ్ముకొనును గనుక పుట్టబోవు శిశువు పరిశుద్ధుడై దేవుని కుమారుడనబడును.
That is why Matt also says Matt 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus
Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before
they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Do you think Mary might have understood what Gabriel
explained?
I don’t think so.
Before leaving, Gabriel said one thing: 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.

The question here is, did Mary believe?
Do you believe?
Obviously, we don’t have to believe because a virgin can
never conceive.
That is why Joseph wanted to put her away Matt 1:19 Then
Joseph her husband, being [f]a just man, and not wanting to make her a public
example, was minded to put her away secretly.

That is why God had to send Gabriel to Joseph too. Matt

The question is, did Joseph believe?
None of these words from God to Abraham, Sarah, Mary and Joseph
had proofs to happen.
Yet they believed.
Let us turn our bibles to Heb 11.
Gen 12
1 Now the Lord had said to
Abram:
“Get out of your country,
· From
your family
· And
from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great
nation; I will bless you
And make your name great; And
you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who
bless you, And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of
the earth shall be blessed.”
What does the next verse says?
· Why
do I have to leave my country, my relatives and my fathers house?
· Where
is the land?
· How
will you make me a great nation?
How can I blindly believe you?
Can we both write an agreement?
So that this can be a proof, if you don’t perform what you have promised.
Did Abraham ask any of those
questions?
4 So Abram departed as the
Lord had spoken to him…

air or may be in a dream, and just obeyed

8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to
the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not
knowing where he was going.

By faith Abraham obeyed.
On what bases did he believe?
He was gentile, who believed in the Sun, Moon, Stars and the
creation.
He was not from a good Christian family.
He did not have the Mosaic law.
He did not have any witnesses telling him about the true
living God.
He did not have a written books from where he could know.
He did not have the Bible with him.
That’s why Paul says in Rom 4:18 who, contrary to
hope, in hope believed,

Even when Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son, Abraham
did not question God.
By faith he obeyed. విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి

What is the base / proof of his faith?
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up
Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” 19 concluding
that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also
received him in a figurative sense.

(This is one point where the disciples lacked)

Now lets turn to Heb 11:11 to check what Sarah’s faith.
11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive
seed, and she[d] bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him
faithful who had promised.

వాగ్దానము చేసినవాడు నమ్మదగినవాడని యెంచు కొనెను గనుక తాను వయస్సు గతించినదైనను గర్భము ధరించుటకు శక్తిపొందెను.
The one who promised her a child, was not a mere human like
us.
What is a human?
Abraham considered himself as dust.
Are we not made out of dust, and don’t we return to dust?
And what else is in man other than lie like our father the
devil?
Hence we don’t believe and have faith in man and we need
agreement, proofs and witnesses for every word we say.
But Sarah knew that, the one who promised her is the Eternal
God, who created Sky, earth and everything in it.
Hence - By faith Sarah herself also received strength
to conceive seed, and she[d] bore a child when she was past the age, because she
judged Him faithful who had promised.

Rom 4:18-21
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he
became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your

body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness
of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief,
but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced
that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was
accounted to him for righteousness.”

In Jesus’s mother, Mary’s case:
After all what Gabriel said to her, about her son and
about how she being a virgin , was going to concive.
The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the
highest will over shadow you.
Gabriel also gave her proof of what God can do
Luke 1:36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also
conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was
called barren.

// You know the risk this young lady was taking? //
She is virgin.
Betrothed to a man, to be married.
She never knew a man.
And she agreed to the will of God, to conceive a child.
As per the law, she must be brought to the elders.
And thrown out of the village and stoned to death.
She was ready to bear the consequences for the will of God.
Do you think she knew Gabriel would inform the same to
Joseph?
How would she explain this to Joseph?
Who would believe the Holy Spirit’s miracle?
Hence God took care of it?
Mary just submitted to the will of God and believed.
Hence Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit, said in a loud
voice –
42 Blessed are you among women // స్ర్తీలలో నీవు
ఆశీర్వదింపబడినదానవు
Luke 1: 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a
fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.

For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name.

Are we ready to take the risk for Jesus?
Are we ready to carry the cross? Everyday?
Joseph believed the angel, about the Mary’s conception being
a virgin.
Hence he took Mary as his wife and did not know her till she
gave birth to her firstborn.
And Joseph called His name Jesus.
24 యోసేపు
నిద్రమేలుకొని ప్రభువు దూత తనకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారముచేసి,

Today we have seen a barren lady, at her old age – giving
birth to a child.
A young virgin giving birth to a child.
Both had their questions.
To which the answer is same.

Sarah and Mary believed

In the same chapter where Mary believed, we can see
Zacharias who did not believe.
Even after seeing.
This is the third group.
1)
See and believe

Not seen and believe
3)
Seen / heard and do not believe.
Zacharias was from the priestly line and he himself was a
priest. జెకర్యా అను ఒక యాజకుడుండెను.
Luke 1: 6 వీరిద్దరు
ప్రభువుయొక్క సకలమైన ఆజ్ఞలచొప్పునను న్యాయవిధుల చొప్పునను నిరపరాధులుగా నడుచుకొనుచు దేవునిదృష్టికి నీతిమంతులై యుండిరి.
Which means he knows about the law and the OT.
Which means he know the prophecy about the Messiah.
He was burning incense in the temple of God
Then an angel appeared to him, standing on the right side of
the altar of incense.
Refer Luke 1:5-25
19 And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel,
who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you
these glad tidings.

Climax
It is time for all mankind to think
What is your hope about your future?
What are you looking forward to?
What is your faith on?
And when it comes to a Christian, your life needs to be
filled with hope and faith.
The disciples have seen; hence they have believed.
In other words, they had proofs.
Jesus had to show his hands and side.
Jesus had to eat, to show that he was not a ghost.
One of his disciples, had to touch his hand and side, to
believe in Jesus.
Jesus had to perform many signs.
But Abraham had no proofs, yet he believed.
Sarah had to proofs, yet she believed.
Mary believed in the will of God and was ready to take risk
in accepting Gods will.
Joseph believed and did as God commanded.
Heb 11:16...Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their
God,...అందుచేత తాను వారి దేవుడనని అనిపించుకొనుటకు దేవుడు వారినిగూర్చి సిగ్గుపడడు;
Noah had no proof that it would rain.
24 By faith Moses, when he became
of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather
to suffer affliction with the people of God
And they are somany others like
them mentioned in the Heb 11th chapter.

31 By faith the harlot Rahab did
not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with
peace. విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి
రాహాబను వేశ్య వేగులవారిని సమాధానముగా చేర్చుకొనినందున అవిధేయులతోపాటు నశింపక పోయెను.
The harlot Rahab had no proof when she received the spies
with peace.
32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to
tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and
the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked
righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the
violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made
strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35
Women received their dead raised to life again.
Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they
might obtain a better resurrection.

Better resurrection?
Abraham believed in resurrection
David believed in resurrection
There were other great people from the OT who believed in
resurrection.
None of them, had seen Jesus resurrected.
None of them have seen Jesus’s hand or side.
None of them have touched Jesus wounds.
Yet they believed.
They had hope and faith for something in future.
They looked forward. ఎదురుచూచుచుండెను
Heb 11:9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign
country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same
promise; 10 for he waited for the city [For he was looking forward to the city]
which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
9 విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి

having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured
of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on
the earth.
13 వీరందరు ఆ వాగ్దానముల ఫలము అనుభవింపక పోయినను,
దూరమునుండి చూచి వందనముచేసి,
తాము భూమి మీద పరదేశులమును యాత్రికులమునై యున్నామని ఒప్పుకొని,
విశ్వాసముగలవారై మృతినొందిరి.
16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly
country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has
prepared a city for them.
16 అయితే వారు మరి శ్రేప్ఠమైన దేశమును, అనగా పరలోకసంబంధమైన దేశమును కోరుచున్నారు. అందుచేత
తాను వారి దేవుడనని అనిపించుకొనుటకు దేవుడు వారినిగూర్చి సిగ్గుపడడు; ఏలయనగా ఆయన వారికొరకు ఒక పట్టణము సిద్ధపరచియున్నాడు.

39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through
faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God
having provided something better for us, that they
should not be made perfect apart from us.
39-40 వీరందరు తమ విశ్వాసముద్వారా సాక్ష్యము పొందినవారైనను.
మనములేకుండ సంపూర్ణులుకాకుండు నిమిత్తము,
దేవుడు మనకొరకు మరి శ్రేప్ఠమైనదానిని ముందుగా సిద్ధపరచెను గనుక
వీరు వాగ్దానఫలము అనుభవింప లేదు.
I know we have not seen Jesus Christ, yet we all believe.
But you know what the Bible says.
2 Cor 4:4. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is
veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has
blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the
gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on
them.

సువార్త మరుగుచేయబడినయెడల నశించుచున్నవారి విషయములోనే మరుగుచేయబడియున్నది.
4 దేవుని స్వరూపియైయున్న క్రీస్తు మహిమను కనుపరచు సువార్త ప్రకాశము
వారికి
ప్రకా శింపకుండు నిమిత్తము, ఈ యుగ సంబంధమైన దేవత అవిశ్వాసులైనవారి మనో నేత్రములకు గ్రుడ్డితనము కలుగ జేసెను.
We have the word of God in our hand.
Word of God, which is the gospel is the image of God.
We have the creation.
We have the Mosiac Law.
We have the Psalms.
We have the books written by the Prophets.
We have the Prophecies about the Messiah.
We have the Gospels.
After resurrection, Jesus appeared to more than 500
people.
We have the letters written by the people, who spent 3 ½
years with Jesus.
We have the letters of Paul.
And we have the Revelations.
What else do you need to believe in Jesus Christ?
The world accepts the existence of Jesus, hence the age
was divided to BC and AD.
We have the place where Jesus lived, which matches to the
Bible.
And another advantage we have as Indians, is,
the disciples who was ready to be stoned to death with
Jesus
and touched Jesus hand and side
came to India to preach the gospel which is the image of
God.
We still have the place in Kerala where he first landed.
The first church he built is still there till today.
He was martyred and till date we have his burial place in
Tamil Nadu.
What else we need to believe in gospel of Jesus?
Mark 16:14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were
eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to
believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

పదునొకండుమంది శిష్యులు భోజనమునకు కూర్చున్నప్పుడు ఆయన వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమై,
తాను లేచిన తరువాత తన్ను చూచినవారి మాట నమ్మనందున
వారి అపనమ్మిక నిమిత్తమును హృదయకాఠిన్యము నిమిత్తమును వారిని గద్దించెను.
Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God.
17 కాగా
వినుటవలన [సువార్తను వినుటవలన] విశ్వాసము కలుగును; వినుట క్రీస్తునుగూర్చిన మాటవలన కలుగును.
Just because the disciples have seen and believed, by no
means im trying to reduce them.
The same disciples who escaped when Jesus was arrested.
The same disciples who denied Jesus
The same disciples who did not believe Jesus, until they
had proofs.
Filled with the Holy Spirit, preached the gospel
throughout the world.
They faced persecution and everyone of them were martyred
for the sake of gospel.
I do not think, we can more blessed than them.
Whether it might be the Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Samuel,
David, Isaiah, Jeremiah and all the OT prophets,
Or may be NT disciples and apostles
Or us.
We all meet at one point as the author of Hebrew says.
Hope and Faith about our future with God.
Jesus promised he will come back.
Jesus promised a place for us. A place where is lives.
Jn 14:1“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in
God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many [a]mansions; if it
were not so, [b]I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

హృదయమును కలవరపడనియ్యకుడి; దేవుని .యందు విశ్వాసముంచుచున్నారు నాయందును విశ్వాసముంచుడి. 2 నా తండ్రి యింట అనేక నివాసములు కలవు, లేనియెడల మీతో చెప్పుదును; మీకు స్థలము సిద్ధపరచ వెళ్లుచున్నాను. 3 నేను వెళ్లి మీకు స్థలము సిద్ధపరచినయెడల నేనుండు స్థలములో మీరునుఉండు లాగున మరల వచ్చి నాయొద్ద నుండుటకు మిమ్మును తీసి కొని పోవుదును.
Who gave us this promise?
Sarah - వాగ్దానము
చేసినవాడు నమ్మదగినవాడని
Abraham - వాగ్దానము
చేసినదానిని నెరవేర్చుటకు సమర్థుడు
Phil 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we
also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
20 మన పౌరస్థితి పర లోకమునందున్నది; అక్కడనుండి ప్రభువైన యేసుక్రీస్తు అను రక్షకుని నిమిత్తము కనిపెట్టుకొనియున్నాము.
Romans 8:24 For in this hope we were saved;
but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see?

మనము నిరీక్షణ కలిగిన వారమై రక్షింపబడితిమి. నిరీక్షింపబడునది కనబడునప్పుడు, నిరీక్షణతో పనియుండదు; తాను చూచుచున్న దానికొరకు ఎవడు నిరీక్షించును?

చూడనిదాని
కొరకు నిరీక్షించినయెడల ఓపికతో దానికొరకు కనిపెట్టుదుము.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to
please him, for whoever would draw near to God must
believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
6 విశ్వాసములేకుండ దేవునికి ఇష్టుడైయుండుట అసాధ్యము;
దేవునియొద్దకు వచ్చువాడు ఆయన యున్నాడనియు,
తన్ను వెదకువారికి ఫలము దయచేయువాడనియు నమ్మవలెను
గదా.
Without hope and faith, you will నీవు పాతాళమువరకు దిగి పోయెదవు.
With hope and faith, you will walk to
· పరలోకసంబంధమైన దేశము
· దేవుడు దేనికి శిల్పియు నిర్మాణకుడునై యున్నాడో, పునాదులుగల ఆ పట్టణము
· మరి శ్రేప్ఠమైన దేశము
· ఆయన వారికొరకు ఒక పట్టణము సిద్ధపరచియున్నాడు.
