Do not forget the Lord your God - Deuteronomy 8:11-18 - Telugu Sermon Points

Index

Introduction:

• This is one of the last sermons given by Moses before his death and before the people of Israel entered into the Promised Land.
• A seven year famine forced Jacob (Israel) and his family enter Egypt.
• All together they were 70 people.
• Initially, they flourished under the leadership of Joseph, number two in charge of the country after Pharaoh.
• Then a new king came who did not know Joseph and was afraid of the Israelites.
• For the next several centuries the Israelites were enslaved by the Egyptians who “worked them ruthlessly”.
• The Israelites were slaves to Egypt for 400-430 years.
• Until God sent Moses to rescue them.
• God performed his wonders and miracles to bring the people of Israel out of Egypt, the land of slavery.
• God divided the Red Sea to provide way for the people of Israel.

• God wanted to take them to the land promised to their ancestors.
• Even after God performed these miraculous signs and wonders, the people of Israel were poor in believing, trusting and putting their faith in God.
• Hence God punished them by wandering in the wilderness for forty years.

• Now, after 40 years, they are ready to enter the Promised Land.
• This is one of the last sermons given by Moses before his death and before the people of Israel entered into the Promised Land.

God's help - POI - wandering in the wilderness:

• The forty years wandering in wilderness for the people of Israel was result of their lack of faith in God. 
• For forty years God guided them through the wilderness. 
• The word tells us that God guided them as a cloud in the morning and as a pillar of fire in the nights. 
• When they were hungry, God provided them manna, a food which no one knew. 
• They murmured for meat. God provided meat (quails). 
• There was a situation where they had no water, God provided water from a rock.  

Hence Moses asks the POI to remember how God led them through the wilderness.

Deut 8:15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

Deut 8:15 తాపకరమైన పాములును తేళ్లును కలిగి యెడారియై నీళ్లులేని భయంకరమైన ఆ గొప్ప అరణ్యములో ఆయన నిన్ను నడిపించెను, రాతిబండనుండి నీకు నీళ్లు తెప్పించెను,౹

Deut 8:16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known…

Deut 8:16 … నీ పితరులు ఎరుగని మన్నాతో అరణ్యమున నిన్ను పోషించెను.౹

Deut 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years,

Deut 8:2 … అరణ్యములో ఈ నలువది సంవత్సరములు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను నడిపించిన మార్గమంతటిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.౹

There was a reason why the people of Israel was led into the wilderness. 

Deut 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, - to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

Deut 8:2 మరియు నీవు ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొందువో లేదో నిన్ను శోధించి నీ హృదయములోనున్నది తెలుసుకొనుటకు నిన్ను అణచు నిమిత్తమును  - అరణ్యములో ఈ నలువది సంవత్సరములు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను నడిపించిన మార్గమంతటిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.౹

Deut 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Deut 8:3 ఆహారమువలననే గాక యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రతి మాటవలన నరులు బ్రదుకుదురని నీకు తెలియజేయుటకు ఆయన నిన్ను అణచి నీకు ఆకలి కలుగ జేసి, నీవేగాని నీ పితరులేగాని యెన్నడెరుగని మన్నాతో నిన్ను పోషించెను.౹

Deut 8:15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.

Deut 8:15 తాపకరమైన పాములును తేళ్లును కలిగి యెడారియై నీళ్లులేని భయంకరమైన ఆ గొప్ప అరణ్యములో ఆయన నిన్ను నడిపించెను, రాతిబండనుండి నీకు నీళ్లు తెప్పించెను,౹

Deut 8:16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.

Deut 8:16 తుదకు నీకు మేలుచేయవలెనని నిన్ను అణుచుటకును శోధించుటకును  - నీ పితరులు ఎరుగని మన్నాతో అరణ్యమున నిన్ను పోషించెను.౹

Deut 8:4 Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

Deut 8:4 ఈ నలువది సంవత్సరములు నీవు వేసికొనిన బట్టలు పాతగిలలేదు, నీ కాలు వాయలేదు.౹

Know then in your heart :

Deut 8:5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines (క్రమశిక్షణ) his son, so the Lord your God disciplines (క్రమశిక్షణ) you.

Deut 8:5 ఒకడు తన కుమారుని ఎట్లు శిక్షించెనో అట్లే నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను శిక్షించువాడని నీవు తెలిసికొని

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens,And scourges every son whom He receives.”
ప్రభువు తాను ప్రేమించువానిని శిక్షించి, తాను స్వీకరించు ప్రతి కుమారుని దండించును

Rev 3:19 Those I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.
19 నేను ప్రేమించువారినందరిని, గద్దించి, శిక్షించుచున్నాను గనుక నీవు ఆసక్తి కలిగి మారుమనస్సు పొందుము.౹

Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, and teach from Your law,
12 యెహోవా, నీవు శిక్షించువాడు...ధన్యుడు.

Pro 3:12 for the LORD disciplines the one He loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.
12 తండ్రి తనకు ఇష్టుడైన కుమారుని గద్దించు రీతిగా - యెహోవా తాను ప్రేమించువారిని గద్దించును.

Pro 13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him diligently.
24 బెత్తము వాడనివాడు తన కుమారునికి విరోధి - కుమారుని ప్రేమించువాడు వానిని శిక్షించును.

Heb 12:7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

7 శిక్షాఫలము పొందుటకై మీరు సహించుచున్నారు; దేవుడు కుమారులనుగా మిమ్మును చూచుచున్నాడు. తండ్రి శిక్షింపని కుమారుడెవడు?

Hence:

Deut 8:6 Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.

Deut 8:6 ఆయన మార్గములలో నడుచుకొనునట్లును, ఆయనకు భయపడునట్లును, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనవలెను.౹

Deut 8:1 Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors.

Deut 8:1 మీరు బ్రదికి, అభివృద్ధినొంది, యెహోవా మీపితరులతో ప్రమాణముచేసిన దేశమునకు పోయి దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు -నేడు నేను నీ కాజ్ఞాపించిన ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించి నడుచుకొనవలెను.౹

Deut 8:7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

Deut 8:7 నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను మంచి దేశములో ప్రవేశపెట్టును. అది నీటి వాగులును, లోయలలోనుండియు, కొండలలోనుండియు, పారు ఊటలును ,అగాధజలములునుగల దేశము.౹ 8 అది గోధుమలు, యవలు ,ద్రాక్షచెట్లు, అంజూరపుచెట్లు, దానిమ్మపండ్లునుగల దేశము, ఒలీవ నూనెయు, తేనెయు గల దేశము.౹ 9 కరవు అనుకొనకుండ నీవు ఆహారము తిను దేశము; అందులో నీకు ఏ లోపముండదు. అది యినుపరాళ్లు గల దేశము; దాని కొండలలో నీవు రాగి త్రవ్వి తీయవచ్చును.౹

Deut 8:10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

Deut 8:10 నీవుతిని తృప్తిపొంది నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చిన మంచి దేశమునుబట్టి ఆయనను స్తుతింపవలెను.౹

Deut 8:11 Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,

Deut 8:11 నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించు ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలను విధులను కట్టడలను నీవు అనుసరింపక నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మరచి

కడుపారతిని (when you eat and are satisfied) 12 మంచి యిండ్లు కట్టించుకొని వాటిలో నివసింపగా,౹ 13నీ పశువులు నీ గొఱ్ఱె మేకలును వృద్ధియై నీకు వెండి బంగారములు విస్తరించి నీకు కలిగినదంతయు వర్ధిల్లినప్పుడు

Deut 8:14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Deut 8:14నీ మనస్సు మదించి, దాసులగృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మర చెదవేమో.౹

• Getting into the Promised Land was not an easy task.
• The POI can get it, only by obeying God’s commandments.
• God had to humble and test the POI in order to know what was in their heart, whether or not they would keep his commands.
• He was preparing them for the Promised Land.

• We all have “wandering in the wilderness” experiences (అనుభవాలు) in our lives.
• Just like the people of Israel, we were all saved from the land of slavery (Sin).

John 8:34. Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

34 అందుకు యేసు–పాపముచేయు ప్రతివాడును పాపమునకు దాసుడని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.౹

Galatians 5:1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

1 ఈ స్వాతంత్యము అనుగ్రహించి, క్రీస్తు మనలను స్వతంత్రులనుగా చేసియున్నాడు. కాబట్టి, మీరు స్థిరముగా నిలిచి మరల దాస్యమను కాడిక్రింద చిక్కు కొనకుడి.

• God saved us from the slavery and from our sins.
• He gave his only begotten Son, who was crucified on the cross on our behalf.
• We were cleaned by His blood.
• He was crucified, buried and on the third day was risen from the dead.
• He ascended to heaven, sitting on the right side of the heavenly Father.
• He promised us a place in heaven too.
• Our journey is towards the Promised Land.

Throughout this journey we need to remember what God has done for us.

• the vast and dreadful wilderness - భయంకరమైన ఆ గొప్ప అరణ్యము
• thirsty and waterless land - యెడారియై నీళ్లులేని 
• venomous snakes and scorpions - తాపకరమైన పాములును తేళ్లును 
• there will be no food.
• there will be no water.

But God will provide us manna from the sky and water from the rock.

He will make you feel hungry and provide you manna from the sky.

He'll make you feel thirsty and provide you water from the rock.

He will save you from all the dangerous incidents in your life.

Through this process, God is teaching us his ways:

As mentioned above, he is doing this to humble us and to test us to know what was in our heart, whether or not we would keep his commands.
Deut 8:2 మరియు నీవు ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొందువో లేదో నిన్ను శోధించి నీ హృదయములోనున్నది తెలుసుకొనుటకు నిన్ను అణచు నిమిత్తమును  - అరణ్యములో ఈ నలువది సంవత్సరములు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను నడిపించిన మార్గమంతటిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.౹

Matthew 4:3-4. The Temptation of Jesus
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted [The Greek for tempted can also mean tested.] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” 

1 అప్పుడు యేసు అపవాది (4:1 అనగా సాతాను.) చేత శోధింపబడుటకు ఆత్మ వలన అరణ్యమునకు కొనిపోబడెను. 2 నలువది దినములు నలువదిరాత్రులు ఉపవాసముండిన పిమ్మట ఆయన ఆకలి గొనగా 3 ఆ శోధకుడు ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చి నీవు దేవుని కుమారుడవైతే ఈ రాళ్లు రొట్టెలగునట్లు ఆజ్ఞాపించు మనెను 4 అందుకాయన
–మనుష్యుడు రొట్టెవలన మాత్రము కాదుగాని దేవుని నోటనుండి వచ్చు ప్రతిమాటవలనను జీవించును అని వ్రాయబడియున్నదనెను.

Luke 4:4. Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted [The Greek for tempted can also mean tested.] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days (forty days), and at the end of them he was hungry.
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.” 


1 యేసు పరిశుద్ధాత్మ పూర్ణుడై యొర్దానునదినుండి తిరిగి వచ్చి, నలువది దినములు ఆత్మచేత అరణ్యములో నడిపింపబడి 2 అపవాదిచేత (4:2 అనగా, సాతానుచేత.) శోధింపబడుచుండెను. ఆ దినములలో ఆయన ఏమియు తినలేదు. అవి తీరిన తరువాత ఆయన ఆకలిగొనగా 3 అపవాది–నీవు దేవుని కుమారుడ వైతే, రొట్టె అగునట్లు ఈ రాతితో చెప్పుమని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను 4 అందుకు యేసు –మనుష్యుడు రొట్టెవలన మాత్రమే జీవించడు అని వ్రాయబడియున్నదని వానికి ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను.

Deut 8:16 తుదకు నీకు మేలుచేయవలెనని నిన్ను అణుచుటకును శోధించుటకును  - నీ పితరులు ఎరుగని మన్నాతో అరణ్యమున నిన్ను పోషించెను.౹

We all will be tested in our lives. 

Abraham was tested.

Genesis 22:11-12 & 15-18
11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
11 యెహోవాదూత పరలోకమునుండి–అబ్రాహామా అబ్రాహామా అని అతని పిలిచెను; అందుకతడు–చిత్తము ప్రభువా అనెను.౹ 

12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
12 అప్పుడు ఆయన–ఆ చిన్నవానిమీద చెయ్యివేయకుము; అతని నేమియు చేయకుము; నీకు ఒక్కడైయున్న నీ కుమారుని నాకియ్య వెనుతీయలేదుగనుక నీవు దేవునికి భయపడువాడవని యిందువలన నాకు కనబడుచున్న దనెను.౹ 

15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
15 యెహోవాదూత రెండవమారు పరలోకమునుండి అబ్రాహామును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను  

16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
16–నీవు నీకు ఒక్కడే అయ్యున్న నీ కుమారుని ఇయ్య వెనుకతీయక యీ కార్యము చేసినందున

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
17 నేను నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించి ఆకాశ నక్షత్రములవలెను సముద్రతీరమందలి యిసుకవలెను నీ సంతానమును నిశ్చయముగా విస్తరింప చేసెదను; నీ సంతతివారు తమ శత్రువుల గవిని స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.౹ 

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
18 మరియు నీవు నా మాట వినినందున భూలోకములోని జనములన్నియు నీ సంతానమువలన ఆశీర్వదించబడును నాతోడని ప్రమాణము చేసియున్నానని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చెననెను.౹ 

Heb 11:17-19
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

17-19అబ్రాహాము శోధింపబడి విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి ఇస్సాకును బలిగా అర్పించెను. ఎవడు ఆ వాగ్దానములు సంతోషముతో అంగీకరించెనో, –ఇస్సాకువలననైనది నీ సంతానమనబడును, అని యెవనితో చెప్పబడెనో, ఆ అబ్రాహాము, మృతులను సహితము లేపుటకు దేవుడు శక్తిమంతుడని యెంచినవాడై, తన యేకకుమారుని అర్పించి, ఉపమానరూపముగా అతనిని మృతులలోనుండి మరల పొందెను.౹ 

Genesis 22:13-14
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
13 అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము కన్నులెత్తి చూడగా పొదలో కొమ్ములుతగులుకొనియున్న ఒక పొట్టేలు వెనుకతట్టున కనబడెను. అబ్రాహాము వెళ్లి ఆ పొట్టేలును పట్టుకొని తన కుమారునికి మారుగా పెట్టి దహనబలిగా అర్పించెను.౹ 

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh (The Lord Will Provide): as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen (On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided).

14 అబ్రాహాము ఆ చోటికి యెహోవా యీరే (22:14 అనగా – యెహోవా చూచుకొనును.) అను పేరు పెట్టెను. అందుచేత–యెహోవా పర్వతముమీద చూచుకొనును అని నేటివరకు చెప్పబడును.౹ 

Deut 8:10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

Deut 8:10 నీవుతిని తృప్తిపొంది నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చిన మంచి దేశమునుబట్టి ఆయనను స్తుతింపవలెను.౹

Ebenezer -  “stone of help.” - 1 Samuel 7

 “Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the LORD has helped us’” (verse 12).


12 అప్పుడు సమూయేలు ఒక రాయి తీసి మిస్పాకును షేనుకును మధ్య దానిని నిలిపి–యింతవరకు యెహోవా మనకు సహాయము చేసెనని చెప్పి దానికి ఎబెనెజరు (7:12 సహాయపు రాయి.) అను పేరు పెట్టెను.౹

God's Commandments - Promised Land

Deut 8:6 Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.

Deut 8:14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Deut 8:14నీ మనస్సు మదించి, దాసులగృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మర చెదవేమో.౹

Deut 10:12-17

12 And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 

12 కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు భయపడి ఆయన మార్గములన్నిటిలో నడుచుచు, ఆయనను ప్రేమించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను నీ పూర్ణ మనస్సుతోను నీ పూర్ణాత్మతోను సేవించి,౹ 

13 and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?

13 నీ మేలుకొరకు నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించు యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞలను కట్టడలను అనుసరించి నడుచుకొందునను మాట కాక నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను మరి ఏమి అడుగుచున్నాడు? 

14 To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it. 

14 చూడుము; ఆకాశము, మహాకాశము, భూమియు, అందున్నదంతయు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవావే.౹ 

15 Yet the Lord set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations—as it is today.

15 అయితే యెహోవా నీ పితరులను ప్రేమించి వారియందు ఆనందపడి సమస్త జనములలో వారి సంతానమైన మిమ్మును నేటి వలె ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.౹

16 Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

16 కాబట్టి మీరు సున్నతిలేని మీ హృదయమునకు సున్నతి చేసికొని యికమీదట ముష్క రులుకాకుండుడి 17 ఏలయనగా నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా పరమదేవుడును పరమప్రభువునై యున్నాడు. ఆయనే మహాదేవుడు పరాక్రమవంతుడు భయంకరుడైన దేవుడు. ఆయన నరులముఖమును లక్ష్యపెట్టనివాడు, లంచము పుచ్చుకొననివాడు.౹

Deut 6:4-12

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

4ఇశ్రాయేలూ వినుము. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా అద్వితీయుడగు యెహోవా.౹ 5నీ పూర్ణహృదయముతోను నీ పూర్ణాత్మతోను నీ పూర్ణశక్తితోను నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.౹ 6నేడు నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించు ఈ మాటలు నీ హృదయములో ఉండవలెను.౹ 7నీవు నీ కుమారులకు వాటిని అభ్యసింపజేసి, నీ యింట కూర్చుండునప్పుడును త్రోవను నడుచునప్పుడును పండుకొనునప్పుడును లేచునప్పుడును వాటినిగూర్చి మాటలాడవలెను; సూచనగా వాటిని నీ చేతికి కట్టుకొనవలెను.౹ 8అవి నీ కన్నుల నడుమ బాసికమువలె ఉండవలెను.౹ 9నీ యింటి ద్వార బంధములమీదను నీ గవునులమీదను వాటిని వ్రాయవలెను.

10 When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, 11 houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

10నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ పితరులైన అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులతో చేసిన ప్రమాణమునుబట్టి నిన్ను ఆ దేశములో ప్రవేశపెట్టి, నీవు కట్టని గొప్పవగు మంచి పురములను 11నీవు నింపని మంచి ద్రవ్యములచేత నింప బడిన ఇండ్లను, నీవు త్రవ్వకపోయినను త్రవ్వబడిన బావులను, నీవు నాటని ద్రాక్షతోటలను ఒలీవల తోటలను నీ కిచ్చిన తరువాత నీవుతిని తృప్తిపొందినప్పుడు 12దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన యెహోవాను మరువకుండ నీవు జాగ్రత్తపడుము.౹

8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 
9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 
10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 
11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 
14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

8 అబ్రాహాము పిలువబడినప్పుడు విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి ఆ పిలుపునకు లోబడి, తాను స్వాస్థ్యముగా పొందనైయున్న ప్రదేశమునకు బయలువెళ్లెను. మరియు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లవలెనో అది ఎరుగక బయలువెళ్లెను.౹ 
9 విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి అతడును, అతనితో ఆ వాగ్దానమునకు సమానవారసులైన ఇస్సాకు యాకోబు అనువారును, గుడారములలో నివసించుచు, అన్యుల దేశములో ఉన్నట్టుగా వాగ్దత్తదేశములో పరవాసులైరి.౹ 
10 ఏలయనగా దేవుడు దేనికి శిల్పియు నిర్మాణకుడునై యున్నాడో, పునాదులుగల ఆ పట్టణముకొరకు అబ్రా హాము ఎదురుచూచుచుండెను.౹ 
11 విశ్వాసమునుబట్టి శారాయు వాగ్దానము చేసినవాడు నమ్మదగినవాడని యెంచు కొనెను గనుక తాను వయస్సు గతించినదైనను గర్భము ధరించుటకు శక్తిపొందెను.౹ 
12 అందుచేత మృతతుల్యుడైన ఆ యొకనినుండి, సంఖ్యకు ఆకాశనక్షత్రములవలెను, సముద్రతీరమందలి లెక్కింప శక్యముకాని యిసుకవలెను సంతానము కలిగెను.
13 వీరందరు ఆ వాగ్దానముల ఫలము అనుభవింపక పోయినను, దూరమునుండి చూచి వందనముచేసి, తాము భూమి మీద పరదేశులమును యాత్రికులమునై యున్నామని ఒప్పుకొని, విశ్వాసముగలవారై మృతినొందిరి.౹ 
14 ఈలాగు చెప్పువారు తమ స్వదేశమును వెదకుచున్నామని విశద పరచుచున్నారు కారా?౹ 
15 వారు ఏదేశమునుండి వచ్చిరో ఆ దేశమును జ్ఞాపకమందుంచుకొన్నయెడల మరల వెళ్లు టకు వారికి వీలు కలిగియుండును.౹ 
16 అయితే వారు మరి శ్రేప్ఠమైన దేశమును, అనగా పరలోకసంబంధమైన దేశమును కోరుచున్నారు. అందుచేత తాను వారి దేవుడనని అనిపించుకొనుటకు దేవుడు వారినిగూర్చి సిగ్గుపడడు; ఏలయనగా ఆయన వారికొరకు ఒక పట్టణము సిద్ధపరచియున్నాడు.

48 మంటినుండి పుట్టినవాడెట్టివాడో మంటినుండి పుట్టినవారును అట్టివారే, పరలోకసంబంధి యెట్టివాడో పరలోకసంబంధులును అట్టి వారే.౹

Ephesians 2:19

Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens of the saints and members of God's household,

19 కాబట్టి మీరిక మీదట పరజనులును పరదేశులునై యుండక, పరిశుద్ధులతో ఏక పట్టణస్థులును దేవుని యింటివారునై యున్నారు.౹ 

Colossians 3:1

Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

1 మీరు క్రీస్తుతోకూడ లేపబడినవారైతే పైనున్న వాటినే వెదకుడి, అక్కడ క్రీస్తు దేవుని కుడిపార్శ్వమున కూర్చుండియున్నాడు.౹ 

Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

పైనున్న వాటిమీదనేగాని, భూసంబంధమైనవాటిమీద మనస్సు పెట్టుకొనకుడి;

17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us [Paul, (Hebrews 11:8-16) Abraham,Sarah,Issac and Jacob] as a model, keep your eyes on those [Paul, (Hebrews 11:8-16) Abraham,Sarah,Issac and Jacob] who live as we do.

18 For there are many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, who live as enemies of the cross of Christ [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation], whose fate is destruction, whose god is their belly [their worldly appetite, their sensuality, their vanity], and whose glory is in their shame—who focus their mind on earthly and temporal things. 

20 But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself, will [not only] transform [but completely refashion] our earthly bodies so that they will be like His glorious resurrected body.

Therefore, my [brethren]fellow believers, whom I love and long for, my delight and crown [my wreath of victory], in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

17 సహోదరులారా, మీరు నన్ను పోలి నడుచుకొనుడి; మేము [Paul, (Hebrews 11:8-16) Abraham,Sarah,Issac and Jacob] మీకు మాదిరియైయున్న ప్రకారము నడుచుకొను వారిని [Paul, (Hebrews 11:8-16) Abraham,Sarah,Issac and Jacob] గురిపెట్టి చూడుడి.౹ 

18 అనేకులు క్రీస్తు సిలువకు శత్రువులుగా [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation] నడుచుకొనుచున్నారు; వీరిని గూర్చి మీతో అనేక పర్యాయములు చెప్పి యిప్పుడును ఏడ్చుచు చెప్పు చున్నాను.౹ 

19 నాశనమే వారి అంతము, వారి కడుపే [their worldly appetite, their sensuality, their vanity] వారి దేవుడు; వారు తాము సిగ్గుపడవలసిన సంగతులయందు అతిశయపడుచున్నారు, భూసంబంధమైనవాటి యందే మనస్సు నుంచుచున్నారు.౹ 

20 మన పౌరస్థితి పర లోకమునందున్నది; అక్కడనుండి ప్రభువైన యేసుక్రీస్తు అను రక్షకుని నిమిత్తము కనిపెట్టుకొనియున్నాము.౹ 21 సమస్తమును తనకు లోపరచుకొనజాలిన శక్తినిబట్టి ఆయన మన దీనశరీరమును తన మహిమగల శరీరమునకు సమ రూపము గలదానిగా మార్చును.

4:1 కావున నేనపేక్షించు నా ప్రియ సహోదరులారా, నా ఆనందమును నా కిరీటమునైయున్న నా ప్రియులారా, యిట్లు ప్రభువునందు స్థిరులై యుండుడి.

Finally
17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

17అయితే మీరు–మా సామర్థ్యము మా బాహుబలము ఇంత భాగ్యము మాకు కలుగజేసెనని అనుకొందురేమో.౹ 
18 కాగా నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనవలెను. ఏలయనగా తాను నీ పితరులతో ప్రమాణము చేసినట్లు తన నిబంధనను నేటివలె స్థాపింపవలెనని మీరు భాగ్యము సంపాదించుకొనుటకై మీకు సామర్థ్యము కలుగజేయువాడు ఆయనే.౹


Eph 2:8-9. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 


8 మీరు విశ్వాసముద్వారా కృపచేతనే రక్షింపబడియున్నారు; ఇది మీవలన కలిగినది కాదు, దేవుని వరమే.౹ 9 అది క్రియలవలన కలిగినదికాదు గనుక ఎవడును అతిశయపడ వీలులేదు.౹

1 Kings 2:1-4. David’s Charge to Solomon / David's Last Instructions to Solomon.

1 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.

2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, 3 and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go 4 and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

1 దావీదునకు మరణకాలము సమీపింపగా అతడు తన కుమారుడైన సొలొమోనునకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను 

2–లోకులందరు పోవలసిన మార్గమున నేను పోవు చున్నాను; కాబట్టి నీవు ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొని నిబ్బరము గలిగి 

3 నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా అప్పగించినదానిని కాపాడి, ఆయన మార్గముల ననుసరించినయెడల నీవు ఏ పని పూనుకొనినను ఎక్కడ తిరిగినను అన్నిటిలో వివేకముగా నడుచుకొందువు. మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రములో వ్రాయబడియున్న దేవుని కట్టడలను ఆయన నియమించిన ధర్మమంతటిని ఆయన న్యాయవిధులను శాసనములను గైకొనుము;౹ 

4 అప్పుడు–నీ పిల్లలు తమ ప్రవర్తన విషయములో జాగ్రత్తగా నుండి నాయెదుట తమ పూర్ణహృదయముతోను పూర్ణమనస్సుతోను సత్యము ననుసరించి నడుచుకొనినయెడల ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజ్యసింహాసనము మీద ఆసీనుడగు ఒకడు నీకు ఉండక మానడని యెహోవా నన్నుగూర్చి ప్రమాణము చేసిన మాటను స్థిరపరచును.౹
